Key Points of Die Design
1. Zero allotment for design of sealing surface.
2. The mating surface between the box body and the cover, with a clearance of 0.15-0.2 mm.
3. The edge of the lid fits the box body. The design time and space are about 0.8-1 mm, depending on the size of the product.
4. The design of ribs is generally thinner than that of products. Ultra-thin products are mostly made of transparent materials. Too thick ribs are easy to produce bubbles.
Thin-walled products, die structure design key points:
1. The shape of the product is simple, without any upside-down or piercing. It is similar to a cup. The surface of the product is more than 3 degrees. It can be designed as edge air, oblique air, valve, etc.
2. The rib height of the stripping board is less than 1 mm. In order to process the rib position, the stripping board can be inlaid.
3. Design method of multi-cavity die: (1) Independent self-locking: multi-cavity self-locking is suitable for all shapes of thin-walled die design, each cavity is independent, the bottom of the core locking surface is planted into the core compound plate. (2) Integral clamping: the wall thickness is greater than 0.8mm, the machine is relatively small, it is difficult to put in, the integral structure is adopted, but it must be explained in advance.
4. Cavity and core structure design: (1) Cavity cladding plate is usually made of P20 steel. (2) The bottom of the single-chamber barrel structure cavity is empty. It is necessary to ensure that the press plate is made of steel with a height of 45 mm or more. Prevent the cavity from producing flying edges. (3) Inserts are used along the mouth of the cavity to reduce the cracking of thin steel material in the cavity. (4) Gate with water jacket to reduce cooling time of hot runner.
